We craft products on the basis of reintroducing and promoting the health benefits of raw, wild fermented foods. Before refrigeration, natural fermentation techniques were used to preserve food. The industrial age and fear of disease led to the mass industrialization of our food system and the preservation techniques used today which prolong shelf life, but leave food devoid of many important nutrients. By employing traditional methods, nutritional integrity including the presence of important bacteria, probiotics, and enzymes remains uncompromised. Returning to a diet of raw and traditionally preserved foods has been shown to have a positive impact on immune, intestinal, and overall health.
